lyrics
There is more that meets the eye, upon this lost soul
Bottled up inside feel it blow
You think you know me, think again?
Still it haunts me, fear of the end
Break me out of this cold locked cell
I die watching the darkness fall
You hold the key and you don’t even know
I hear voices in the walls
Betraying mind, a created dream
Deceiving lies destroy my life
Break me out of this cold locked cell
I lie watching the darkness fall
You hold the key and you don’t even know
I hear voices in the walls
What can I do to end this torment?
Silently scream, no one can hear me
This escape from reality has left me trapped for eternity
Will I ever, ever be free?

Not only are these guys rad buds but they are also one of Vancouvers best. This self titled EP is full of tasty guitar noodles, crushing heaviness, scary vocals, and is delivered with tight precision. BUSHWHACKER
Another west coast ripper, Vancouver's Black Wizard always delivers the tastiest tunes. Recently signed to Listenable records they released "New Waste". Do your brain a favour and give it a listen. BUSHWHACKER

With all respect due to Nick DiSalvo, who is incredibly talented, the proggy vocals are not what I love the most with Elder. What I love the most, I'll admit, is the incredible synthy, krauty goodness, from the track Sonntag on the previous album to the wonderful delving LP Hirschbrunnen. I think these instrumental Sessions were a major step in that direction, and I love them dearly for it. Coraxio

An eclectic but incredibly well-integrated blend of traditional death metal, melodeath, black metal, progressive, and even a bit of folk (with the added bonus of audible and tasty bass guitar). The album has a consistent, pulverizing momentum punctuated by the rare acoustic passage or catchy chorus/refrain. Overall an unbelievably mature first offering from an up-and-coming band to watch.
