lyrics
Not the philosophers, but the fret sawyers and stamp collectors
compose the backbone of society
A slave is no longer a victim of pain
Rather enslaved by paper withholding a face
Solitary confinement, artificial excitement
The pendulum swings between man and machine
Insufficient provisions deny our reptilian needs
You can’t deny that your life is nothing,
But a tooth in the fucking cogwheel
Twisting and turning, burning and rolling
Through impotent free will
Imprisonment for intelligence;
They brought you here, did we volunteer?
Now we dance to the shouts of the comforting queen
Marching as she is watching
Through the house of the dead, our fetters are red
And now I raise my left hand up while my right hand is tied
Dance in your fetters
Free your mind from the blur
Demonized for your pleasures
To those chained by the nightmare of (His)tory
Metamorphosis into a brave new human
Shackled and bound into perceived comfort
Pulling your puppet strings in this dead man's waltz
You can’t deny that your life is nothing,
But a tooth in the fucking cogwheel
Twisting and turning, burning and rolling
Through impotent free will
Imprisonment for intelligence;
They brought you here, did we volunteer?
Now we dance to the shouts of the comforting queen
Marching as she is watching
Through the house of the dead, our fetters are red
And now I raise my left hand up while my right hand is tied

Not only are these guys rad buds but they are also one of Vancouvers best. This self titled EP is full of tasty guitar noodles, crushing heaviness, scary vocals, and is delivered with tight precision. BUSHWHACKER
Another west coast ripper, Vancouver's Black Wizard always delivers the tastiest tunes. Recently signed to Listenable records they released "New Waste". Do your brain a favour and give it a listen. BUSHWHACKER

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu

An eclectic but incredibly well-integrated blend of traditional death metal, melodeath, black metal, progressive, and even a bit of folk (with the added bonus of audible and tasty bass guitar). The album has a consistent, pulverizing momentum punctuated by the rare acoustic passage or catchy chorus/refrain. Overall an unbelievably mature first offering from an up-and-coming band to watch.
